ACNN meetings are a great opportunity to meet CE requirements. Our professional programs cover a range of topics relating to your field of practice.

Eligibility to apply for a Child Neurology Society Education Travel Award for ACNN Members,  Elizabeth F. Hobdell Nursing Research Grant, and many others.

MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES / CRITERIA

Please note that a slight membership dues increase will take effect for renewals and new members for 2024. If you register or renew in November or December 2023, a one-month pro-rated fee will be added to your annual fee.


All updated membership prices are listed per membership type below.

Active regular members shall be registered nurses with a current active license from the state, province or country in which the member practices. Active members will be entitled to vote on all matters and may serve on all committees and hold an elected office in the Corporation.


Annual Fee: $100

Associate members shall be persons interested in fostering the objectives of the Corporation, including LPN, LVN, PA and allied health professionals. Associate members shall not have any voting rights or serve as an officer in the Corporation, but may serve on all committees, except the Executive Committee.


Annual Fee: $75

Student members are nursing students who are currently enrolled either full or part time in an approved nursing program. Member dues for student members will be 1/3 of general member dues. Student members shall have the same rights and privileges as associate members.


Annual Fee: $30


Special population members have the same rights and privileges as active members, but have the approval of the Board of Directors to pay reduced membership fees (1/3 of active member dues) because of certain special circumstances. All special population members must provide evidence of their eligibility for membership under a specific category. These categories include senior, retired, disabled and international.


  1. A senior member has reached the age of 60 and has 10 years or more of consecutive service to ACNN.
  2. A retired member was previously employed as a child neurology nurse, but is now of-ficially retired from employment.
  3. A disabled member was previously employed as a child neurology nurse, but now has a documented disability and is no longer employed or minimally employed.
  4. An international member resides outside the United States and Canada in a country with a low currency value compared to the US dollar and an income that makes the full active membership fee prohibitive.

Annual Fee: $30

Lifetime members are those active members who have made significant contributions to the Corporation. This membership will be awarded at the discretion of the Board. Lifetime members shall be exempt from dues and will have the same rights and privileges as active members.

Honorary membership may be awarded to nonmembers who have contributed to the field of pediatric neurology. Honorary members are recommended to or by the Board of Directors. A majority vote of approval by the membership must then occur. Honorary Members shall have the same rights and privileges as associate members.
