Submit an Abstract

Abstracts for the 2026 ACNN conference are now being accepted.  All ACNN members and other healthcare professionals are encouraged to submit an abstract for a podium presentation for the 2026 annual ACNN conference. The conference will be held in person in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on October 14-17. Abstract topics should be relevant to nurses and advanced practice providers who care for pediatric patients with neurologic disorders. 


DEADLINE FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSIONS: FEBRUARY 13th, 2026


The 2026 Abstract Committee will judge all abstracts. Click here to review the grading rubric.  Acceptance letters will be sent in March 2026.


Presentation Topic Ideas  

Below is a list of suggested topics. However, you are not limited to these options; abstracts on any topic related to child neurology nursing are welcome. Pharmacology content is highly encouraged.

  • Neurosurgery: neuromodulation (RNS/DBS), hydrocephalus and shunts (chiari, malformation, idiopathic intracranial hypertension, papilledema)
  • Management of implanted devices
  • Neuromuscular
  • Neuroanatomy/neuroimaging
  • Neuroimmunology: AFM, NMDA encephalitis, transverse myelitis 
  • Neurodevelopmental disorders: Autism Spectrum Disorders (identification, evaluation, management), Behavioral concerns, Developmental delay 
  • Genetics 
  • Mental health
  • Epilepsy/Seizures: diagnosis and treatment
  • Sleep Disorders 
  • New innovations and treatments 
  • Case studies 
  • New medications and therapies for epilepsy
  • New medications and therapies for migraine

  • At least one member of the presenting party must be an active member of ACNN and must register for the conference.

  • Abstracts must be submitted online.
  • You will be asked for information including a title, learning objectives, and general description of your presentation.
  • Please be aware that we are unable to accept abstracts from individuals employed by pharmaceutical or medical device companies.
  • This includes primary and/or secondary authors.  
  • Title character limit: 77 characters or less
