Through the Elizabeth F. Hobdell Research Grant Fund, ACNN funds nursing research projects focused on identifying and improving nursing practice and care in the pediatric neurosciences. The research grant is an opportunity for nurses to develop evidence-based care for neurology and neurosurgery patients and disseminate new knowledge to a wide population of nurses and nurse practitioners. The fund is open to applications throughout the year. Grants are for one year with final amount of award determined by ACNN. Reapplication will be necessary if the study exceeds one year.
Progress reports must be submitted to the research committee in writing each quarter. A final report will be required for presentation at the annual Board of Directors meeting (at the annual conference). If the study is not completed within the first year of receiving the award, a progress report will be submitted to the Board of Directors. The final report must be presented to the Board of Directors within two years of receiving the award.
Funding is provided through donations from CNS and ACNN members.
